What kind of servers do you use?
The standard backup server is a dual-core Opteron 2212HE with 4GB of ECC RAM and about 12TB of RAID6 (N+2 redundancy) storage.
They run Solaris with the ZFS filesystem. Each server is connected at 1Gbps, and uses redundant power supplies.
